Cooper rules to use their remaining fuel to reach Mann's planet. On Mann's planet, the Endurance crew revive him from cryostasis. Meanwhile, Murphy, now a scientist, transmits a message announcing Professor Brand has died. She has learned that Plan A, requiring unattainable data from within a black hole, was never viable. Plan B was always Professor Brand's only option. Murphy accuses Amelia and Cooper of knowing those left on Earth were doomed. Mann's frozen planet is uninhabitable; he had sent falsified data in order to be rescued. Mann attempts to murder Cooper, then escapes in a lander and heads for Endurance. Romilly is killed by Mann's booby trap and Amelia and Cooper race to the Endurance in another lander. Mann dies during a failed manual docking operation, severely damaging Endurance. After a difficult docking maneuver, Cooper regains control of the damaged but functional Endurance. Interstellar was released on home video on March 31, 2015, in both the United Kingdom and United States. It topped the home video sales chart for a total of two weeks. It was reported that Interstellar was the most pirated film of 2015, with an estimated 46.7 million downloads on BitTorrent. It was released in the Ultra HD Blu-ray format on December 19, 2017.
I think the film does a good job of explaining the concept of wormholes in a very short and sweet way. One of the scientists, Romilly, explains it pretty well using paper and pencil; and it is precisely the concept of wormholes. It is a shortcut in spacetime. So, what would take light years to reach in space if followed the normal route, can be reached in a matter of minutes/hours/days through wormholes. Obviously, no wormholes have been discovered yet, but wormholes were always the part of solutions to the Einstein’s field equations for gravity. Anyway, in the movie, the group of scientists uses the wormhole (which initially scientists think has been put near Saturn by aliens) to reach to another galaxy where the three planets with life potential exist.Consider: Cooper never expresses any romantic interest in anyone ever, which is especially noticeable because Cooper is played by Matthew McConaughey, who usually appears to be flirting with every human onscreen and also some of the plant life.This time-travel is not a literal one whereby previous events can be altered creating paradoxes. Rather, all events which can happen, have happened. Murphy’s law from this perspective has happened, not will happen.

So…For Coop, while to him he was only there for a few seconds, people on earth would have been looking for what must have been decades and with their technology now advanced thanks to Coop and TARS’ data, I think the finding of Coop is perfectly feasible. Although we never learn exactly what year it is at the beginning of Interstellar, for the first half of the film, the timeline seems pretty straightforward. Even when the narrative begins easing into the concept of relativity — that gravity will cause some characters to experience time differently than others — it does so in baby steps. It's easy enough to understand how two years pass on Earth while only a few months go by for the hibernating crew of the Endurance, suspended in their cryosleep pods.1st: In a 5D space, he can traverse across time, and 2nd: Since gravity, too, is a variable entity in 5D Space, he can use gravity to communicate to his daughter the quantum data that was needed to solve the equation.And now imagine that there is a fifth dimensional being who floats above everything that happens in Interstellar. Once Cooper realizes toward the end of Interstellar that "They" are actually the humans of the future who created the tesseract and the wormhole in order to facilitate the survival of the humans of the past, it opens the door for some major questions. The most obvious one being, how can the humans of the future save the humans of the past, if the humans of the future can't even exist without the humans of the past surviving?As Amelia suggests, the effect of gravity from Gargantua was to blame for the Endurance team’s unfortunate visit to Miller’s planet in the first place – since what they perceived as years of positive beacon readings were actually mere minutes for Miller (who was killed by a wave moments after she landed).

The concept is outright exemplified in the first planet that the Endurance team visits. In general, time on our side of the wormhole moves faster than time in the uncharted side. Due to close proximity with gravitational anomalies from a nearby Gargantua, time on the other side is exponentially slower – relative to the distance between an object and Gargantua’s gravitational pull. As a result, time on Miller’s planet moves significantly slower: for every hour that the team spends on the water planet, seven years pass back home – a primary reason that Cooper is motivated to get off the planet as soon as possible (even before they realize it’s a death trap). Cooper knows that three hours on planet’s surface will cost him decades of time with his family.. When Murph solved the gravitational equation, it enabled NASA to load up the remnants of humanity into their various stations (we don't know how many there are, but from the dialogue at the end of the film, we can gather that there are at least two) and launch them into space. Once they were free of Earth's gravity, they were able to repurpose the interior walls of the station to become the ground, freeing up much more living space for the station's inhabitants. So although Cooper Station looks very different by the end of the film, we actually see Cooper tour the same facility twice — once on Earth, and once in space.
As for how Cooper survives his time inside the Tesseract, and how he intends to reunite with Amelia? Nolan simply reapplies the same theory that has been present the entire film. Given that time moves slower near the gravity pull of the black hole, Cooper’s ejection from the Tesseract is only seconds for him, but over half a century for the rest of humanity. Keep in mind, if the ratio of time on Miller’s planet was 1 hour for every 7 years on Earth, the proportion would be skewed exponentially at the absolute centre of the Tesseract singularity. As a result, while it appears to Earthbound humans that TARS and Cooper have been floating out in space for nearly ninety years, they were actually only out there for mere seconds as they perceived it.With insufficient fuel to reach Edmunds' planet, they use a slingshot maneuver so close to Gargantua that time dilation adds another 51 years. In the process, Cooper and TARS jettison themselves to shed weight and ensure Endurance reaches Edmunds' planet. Slipping through the event horizon of Gargantua, they eject from their respective craft and find themselves inside a massive tesseract, possibly constructed by future humans. Across different time periods, Cooper can see through the bookcases of Murphy's old room on Earth and weakly interact with its gravity. Cooper realizes he was Murphy's "ghost" and manipulates the second hand of the wristwatch he gave her, using Morse code to transmit the quantum data that TARS collected from inside the event horizon. Cooper and TARS are ejected from the tesseract. Cooper is picked up and awakens on a space habitat orbiting Saturn, where he reunites with an elderly Murphy. Using the quantum data sent by Cooper, the younger Murphy had solved the gravitational propulsion theory for Plan A, enabling humanity's exodus and survival. Nearing death and with her own family, Murphy urges Cooper to return to Amelia. Cooper and TARS take a spacecraft to rejoin Amelia and CASE on Edmunds' habitable planet. .com, the portrayal of what a wormhole would look like is considered scientifically correct. Rather than a two-dimensional hole in space, it is depicted as a sphere, showing a distorted view of the target galaxy. Thorne described the accretion disk of the black hole as "anemic and at low temperature—about the temperature of the surface of the sun," allowing it to emit appreciable light, but not enough gamma radiation and X-rays to threaten nearby astronauts and planets. Among other confusing screenplays Nolan wrote before, Interstellar is less confusing, more emotional one Christopher Nolan does not shy away from dense stories, and Interstellar is almost certainly his Why are they all blocky? This one is probably easier to explain if you're good at math (which I am not), but.. Only Nolan and Kip Thorne know that one for now. Perhaps it was something to do with the variables, maybe Saturn’s gravitational pull was just right, who knows?Plan ‘A’: During the time Endurance will be on its interstellar voyage, Dr. Brand will continue working on the equation, which, if solved, will allow them to figure out all the five dimensions, including gravity. After this, their plan is to carry all the remaining population of Earth in a massive space station to whatever the most habitable planet is.
Knowing their own past – specifically the events that led to their salvation (and departure from Earth) – it was in fact humans who built the Tesseract at some point far in the future and then, using their advanced knowledge of fifth-dimensional physics, manipulated space-time to place a wormhole the past (where NASA finds it orbiting Saturn).The concept is further hammered home when, following the mission, Amelia and Cooper reunite with Romilly, who stayed behind on the Endurance to gather data (far from Gargantua) – and, in the three hours his team was gone, has lived twenty-three full years alone without them. Interstellar this must be Hans Zimmer's greatest complete score. While Man of Steel, The Dark Knight, and Gladiator have their selections — the entire score of Interstellar is wondrous and immensely.. At first glance, it might seem strange that Cooper spends the whole film trying to get home to his kids, only to voluntarily take off again at the end of the film after only being reunited with Murph for about 30 seconds. However, even aside from the strangeness of Cooper immediately taking Murph's advice to fly back through the wormhole to find Brand, it's easy to wonder exactly how Murph even knew where Brand was, or that she was still alive.
Essentially, Interstellar‘s time travel is from The Terminator and its astrophysics are from The Fifth Element, where it turns out that the fifth element is love. I’m being silly but not really: As far as Interstellar is concerned, love is a literal potent physical concept, strong enough to bend the elaborate cosmic architecture of wormholes and black holes and far-flung star systems.But at the end of the movie, Cooper’s daughter tells him that he doesn’t have to worry about her anymore. What he needs to do is get back out there into the dating game. Meanwhile, Brand has finally made found closure with her old boyfriend, because her old boyfriend is dead. Like, the last line of Interstellar is basically: “Hey dad! I love you, but I’m fine. You don’t need to worry about me anymore. Maybe you should go meet up with your super smart, very attractive, currently single co-worker!” I don’t understand the ending. If “they” are descended from humans, and Cooper saves humanity, then how could “they” exist in the future if Cooper hasn’t saved humanity yet? Or, as Vulture put it, “you can’t travel back in time and engineer your own salvation.” Right? A lot of science fiction, at least, would disagree with you. The ending of Interstellar seems to present a “bootstrap paradox.” In short, this is a type of time paradox in which a chicken sends an egg back in time, which egg then becomes that chicken. A popular example is The Terminator: In the first movie in the series, Kyle Reese is sent back in time by John Connor to protect Sarah Connor, John Connor’s mother. The paradox is that Reese turns out to be the father of John Connor—by sending Reese back in time, John Connor created himself. (Similarly, by going back in time to try to kill John Connor, Skynet leaves behind the advanced robotic parts that lead to the creation of Skynet.) Without time travel, whether such a thing is possible remains theoretical, but it’s something theoretical physicists do argue about.
